Feyza Altın M.D.
My name is Feyza Altın and I was born on 13th May 1956 in Isparta/Turkey. I have graduated from Isparta ŞAİK High school in 1973. I have won a place in ODTÜ Mathematic/Computer unit in University. With the Tübitak grant I have gained in high school I started my education in ODTÜ, but after two years the desire to become a doctor played a big role in my life and decided to retake exams for university and I won a place in Ankara University Medical Faculty (Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi). This way I have made a right decision in my life and took my first steps into becoming a doctor.
I finished Ankara Medical Faculty in 1980 and started my specialty in Anesthesiology and Reanimation in Istanbul University Medical Faculty (İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi). Around two years later I decided to become an Ophthalmologist. However, during 1981 I got married to my colleague Dr. Süleyman Altın who was also my neighbor in Isparta and during 1981 and 1983 my two precious children Noyan and Emre was born. In 1984 I started my specialty in Ophthalmology in Istanbul University Medical Faculty (İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi).
During 1989 I have joined Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital (Okmeydanı Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesi). While working here I have taken responsibilities in Excimer Laser and Cornea Units, and now I am working for the treatment in Anterior Segment, Dry Eye, Keratoconus, Cross Linking, Cataract, Refractive Surgery and Glaucoma.
During 2000 I have added Botox treatment for facial asymmetry, spasms, twitching and strabismus in my areas of treatment by developing myself. Later on, I have learnt to perform other skincare treatments like Mesotherapy and fillings to my specialty areas and have expanded the treatments I perform.
